Here is a bit of information about Brandon and how he got started with
balloon twisting:
Bonkers the Clown, aka Brandon Kroeger, is a 14 year old award winning
entertainer from Surrey who twists balloons into such advanced creations
that audiences will stand in amazement watching.
Since becoming a professional entertainer in November of 2005, Bonkers has
worked at over a hundred events such as birthday parties, Christmas
parties, corporate events, special promotions, fundraisers, carnivals and
community events.
Bonkers began twisting balloons at the age of 12, when his Mom persuaded
him to get involved with the BC Entertainer's Club. This club was was
comprised of several entertainers who taught Brandon so much about how to
make all sorts of balloons and how to get started in the business of
entertaining. Brandon quickly became enamoured with balloon twisting and
everywhere he went his balloons went with him.
One day he was practicing his twisting at the YMCA while he waited for his
sister's class to be over. One of the staff members saw him and was so
taken in by his abilities that he asked Brandon to come to his nephew's
birthday party. And, that he did. The family was so gracious towards
Brandon as he "performed" and they were completely amazed that a then 12
year old could twist such advanced creations. From there he was hired by
another family and then another ... and soon corporate companies hired him
to twist balloons for special events.
He was recently nominated for Student Entrepreneur of the Year with the
Surrey Board of Trade and has made it into the top three finalists.
